This man is having a birthday today. How many years is he celebrating? Well, we can't really count that high, but I know the first digit is a 5. February 21st is a good day to have a birthday. A good day for a good guy.
He has been a great big brother to his wonderful little sisters. It was fun growing up with a game playing, sports excelling, fun-loving, teasing, honorable and popular older brother. I had a huge act to follow with him leading the way, and it was great. He was the best big brother 2 girls could ask for.
He has been a fun uncle for all the grandkids. They love to tease him and then get teased right back. He is always up for a game of kick the can or steal the bacon or rummy or any other game. And he will usually win. He is a good sport and a handy man. He is a spiritual leader and a shining example. He is a helping hand and a hard worker. He is fun loving and thrifty. I think rumor has it he can still fit into clothes he wore in high school. He is outdoorsy and a great white hunter. He can chop wood, catch a fish, call an elk, skin a deer, trap a coyote, and track a pack of javelina. He can crack your back, tell you a joke, fix your car, beat you in a foot race and send you a funny card on your birthday.
He is all that and more. Happy Birthday, Darvil! We love you!!!

Plus he is a great son who always made us proud. We were never embarrassed about anything he did. He was seminary president his Junior & Senior years, homecoming king, & several other things a parent wants to brag about. Great post, Beverly
