A VISIT TO LOGAN

Its now 9pm and we just got home a couple of hours ago from our trip to Scottsdale to visit Logan and Becky.  Logan is receiving very good care from the nurses and Becky, who sits with him for hours (most of the day) every day.  Logan is being taken care of, but is Becky?  That is one reason I wanted to make the trip -- to check on MY baby, as she always will be, her and my two others.  Becky looks tired, as can be expected.  She doesn't sleep well at night and is sitting there in that small, cold room all day.  Logan wants it to be cold, because his wrapped arms make him so hot.  He uses the breathing machine with the ball you blow up to the top, then Becky suctions out what he coughs up.  The man who pulled Logan out of the water came to his room today and filled us in on the details.  He said their group was the last ones to leave that canyon.  If the accident would have happened after they left, there would have been noone standing just a few feet from where he landed to lift his head up from the water and part of the group to get him back to the rock, out of the water.  Also, noone would have been there to walk the miles to get to cell phone service and call for help.  The group also took off any clothing they could spare to stop Logan's shivering and keep him from going into shock.   Plus, they helped Logan's date repel down the cliff, since she was still at the top and practically in hysterics.   Logan certainly had a Guardian Angel in that man and his group -- sent by another guardian angel or angels.  The group stayed at the opening of the trail to tell the rescuers that finally arrived where to find Logan.  Logan is still pretty upset because the helicopter didn't get to him for so long and he was there in his cold, wet, clothes --in the dark-- and in much, much pain; but I think he is a lucky boy and I am grateful to all the guardian angels that were there for him that day.  And who knows--maybe his determination and anger (to a certain extent) will help him get through this ordeal.  He said he expects to be driving his car again by the end of the month.  Good luck, my grandson.

Yes, good luck Logan. How nice you went to visit him. Becky I hope you are ok, those hospitals (even though you just sit there) are exhausting and so draining, especially as you watch someone suffer. I will continue to pray for you all.

Thanks for the update. How nice you got to meet that guy - he truly was a blessing sent to be there at just the right time and place, or the outcome could have been a lot worse.
