when we found what our schedule was going to be, I just hoped Jerry and I would be able to handle everything without falling apart into a frazzled mess. Last week we went to Tucson for two Dr. appts. for Jerry, then the next day we got up very early to go to Phoenix for Isabelle's play, which started at 9:15 am. We arrived in plenty of time and enjoyed her play immensely. Isabelle is such a performer. Then that evening we went to Amanda and Emily's concert at the high school. OH MY GOODNESS. What an evening. The music was amazing. Emily sang a solo part - beautiful! and then during Amanda's chorus Amanda stepped down from the bleachers and sang a solo. I should say an OPERA performance. It was amazing. She was amazing. So poised, confident, and she and her singing were BEAUTIFUL. Then to top it all off, she and Emily both received awards and gift cards. What a night.
The next week started with Jared's Baccalaureate on Sunday evening. Jared sang in the show choir. It was a nice evening with Dr. Lunt the keynote speaker. Then on Tuesday evening we went to Jared's concert. OH MY another surprising night. Jared was in almost all of the songs and performances. They did a part from LION KING - very good - and later Jared and his group dressed as old people and sang a song. There was a lot of variety and enthusiasm. My personal favorite was seeing the whole stage full of girls dressed in black outfits surrounding a huge grand piano. They sang a song called"I Love the Piano" and danced and walked around it. Guess who was playing the piano. Our own Mr. Jared. What a HAM. On Wednesday evening we attended Jared's Seminary Graduation. On the program they had lists of kids who had done certain thing. There was Jared's name for Memorizing a lot of scriptures. Then he led the Seminary Chorus in a song he had taught them himself. That boy is full of Surprises.
CC and her friend spent Wed. night here at our house. They were here for Pima's graduation. We had a nice visit with them. On Thursday, after they left, we traveled once again to Phoenix for Amanda's graduation. Once again - Amazement. Amanda looked so pretty and happy. The graduation was held at the Cardinal Stadium at University of Phoenix. An awesome place. Amanda was in the group that sang the National Anthem. We heard her, because she was the one that hit the VERY high note. Over 400 kids, but it moved quite fast. It took awhile, but we finally found Amanda outside, beaming, with her friend Scott by her side. So Cute.
On Friday, back to Pima, then to Thatcher for Jared and Jason's graduation. They were held in the HS gymn because of weather. Jason is such a handsome boy and got a certificate for academics. This handing out of certificates took a very short time, comparatively. There was a nice dinner between the two, then back to the gymn for Jared's Graduation. He too was in the group of kids that sang The National Anthem. How amazing is that? Then he played the piano for another song his classmates sang. Plus he, like Amanda, was listed on the program as being in the top 10%. Then the handing out of diplomas. Jared is so cute, tall, and handsome with his curly hair and big brown eyes. Plus, he got his braces off.
AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING is all I can say. Next year there will be more graduations, programs, plays, etc. and we hope we will be able to attend them all. Thats what proud grandparents do.

That's what INVOLVED Grandparents do. So glad you are!! By the way, there were over 500 kids in Amanda's class.
